Eric feels despite some good elements this is one of his least favorites voyages of TOS and Bob appreciate the idea but isn't that overwhelmed by the Dax / Past Love led story on DS9. Ratings: The Mark of Gideon - Eric 5, Bob 4. Episode 73 Let That Be Your Last Battlefield / Indiscretion. Eric feels the racism theme is too on the nose on TOS and Bob is just fully on board the Kira / Dukat story on DS9. Ratings: Let That Be Your Last Battlefield - Eric 6.5, Bob 6. Indiscretion - Bob 7.5, Eric 6.75.

 

Question: Was it right for the Enterprise crew to let the Charons kill each other or should they have intervened?

Episode 72 Whom Gods Destroy / Hippocratic Oath. Eric feels this is a perfectly just "ok" story on TOS and Bob is just "alright" on the Bashir led story on DS9. Ratings: Whom Gods Destroy - Eric 6, Bob 6. Hippocratic Oath - Bob 6.5, Eric 7.

We briefly also discuss The Axenar.

Episode 71 Elaan of Troyius / The Visitor. Eric enjoys story elements of but ultimately cringes as the lead guest star on TOS and Bob loves re-watching his all-time favorite episode of DS9. Ratings: Elaan of Troyius - Eric 6.5, Bob 7.5.  The Visitor - Bob 10, Eric 10.

 

Question:  Would yo share the cure for the tears of the women in Elaan of Troyius with that homeworld or would that be considered a break of the Prime Directive?

Episode 70 The Empath / The Way of the Warrior 1 and 2. Eric enjoys everything about the Empath except the Empath... and Bob digs on the big Klingon/Worf injection on DS9. Ratings: The Empath - Eric 7 , Bob 5.5.  The Way of the Warrior - Bob 8.5, Eric 9.

We also slightly discuss The Orville and the US Red Dwarf Pilot.

Question: What were your thoughts on introducing Worf into the Ds9 Cast?  And what do you think the TNG crew were doing between the destruction of the Enterprise D and the reassignment on the Enterprise E?
