Episode 59 Spock's Brain / Destiny. Eric doesn't see the hate for this episode of TOS and Bob is rather meh on the prophecy driven story on DS9. Ratings: Spock's Brain - Eric 7.5, Bob 3.5. Destiny - Bob 6.5, Eric 8.

Episode 58 Assignment: Earth / Heart of Stone.  Eric is entertained and puzzled by the failed spinoff pilot about Gary Seven and his cat on TOS. Bob appreciates the big Odo confession with the perilous situation with 'Kira' on DS9.  Ratings: Assignment: Earth - Bob 4, Eric 8.5.  Heart of Stone - Bob 8, Eric 8.5.

Season 2 TOS Highlights Top 5: Amok Time, Mirror Mirror, The Doomsday Machine, Journey to Babel, #5 Tie: The Trouble with Tribbles / The Immunity Syndrome

Season 2 TOS Lows: Bottom 5: Friday's Child, The Omega Glory, Wolf in the Fold, Who Mourns For Adonis?, #5 Split - Obsession / The Deadly Years.

Eric's Runner-up: Metamorphosis. Bob's Runner-up: The Apple.  To Be Fair Most of these 'lows' hover in the 7 range only Friday's Child and Omega Glory are the big two Eric and I consider misses.

Episode 57 Bread and Circuses / Life Support.

Eric enjoys the Roman parallel planet story especially the guest villain and the McCoy/Spock argument in the prison cell on TOS and Bob is let down by Jake's subplot but appreciates the greater themes in the death of a supporting character. on DS9. Ratings: Bread and Circuses - Eric 7.75, Bob 7. Life Support - Bob 7.5, Eric 8.

Question of the week: What character death in any series affected you the most and to what extant did you go to express your outrage?

Episode 56 The Ultimate Computer / Fascination. Eric feels the man vs machine is a bit safe but well done on TOS and Bob takes a while to warm to the Midsummer Night's Dream amorous comedy on DS9. Ratings: The Ultimate Computer - Eric 8, Bob 9. Fascination - Bob 6, Eric 6.5.
