Eric enjoys  camaraderie and the invisibility inspired time accelerated story on TOS and Bob says goodbye to Sisko's old 'look and digs on the monster hunt/Die Hard plot on the Season 3 finale of DS9. Ratings: Wink of An Eye - Eric 7.75 , Bob 7. Episode 68 Plato's Stepchildren / Facets. Eric enjoys the character conflicts and themes about class and violence on TOS and Bob digs the Retro-Trill storyline on DS9 where we get to meet all of Dax’s previous hosts. Ratings: Plato's Stepchildren - Eric 8.5, Bob 7. Facets - Bob 7.5, Eric 7.

Episode 67 The Tholian Web / Shakaar. Eric enjoys the Spacesuits and Tholian action on TOS and Bob is so so on the Political/Underground Warfare storyline on DS9. Ratings: The Tholian Web - Eric 8.5, Bob 8.  Shakaar - Bob 5.5, Eric 6.75.

Episode 66 For The World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky / Family Business. Eric mostly enjoys the McCoy romance story on TOS and Bob left rather meh on the Ferengi family and Sisko romance storyline on DS9. Ratings: For The World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky - Eric 7, Bob 8.5. Episode 65 Day of the Dove / Explorers. Eric finds his new favorite Klingon driven episode on TOS and Bob appreciates elements from the father/son story on DS9. Ratings: Day of the Dove - Eric 9, Bob 8. Explorers - Bob 5.5, Eric 5.

Episode 64 Spectre of the Gun / Improbable Cause & The Die is Cast. Eric enjoys the weird Western planet story on TOS and Bob loves the Odo/Garak driven spy pre-war plot in this DS9 two parter. Episode 63 Is There in Truth No Beauty? / Through the Looking Glass. Eric enjoys the themes and motivations with the Medusan on TOS and Bob loves the action/Mirror, Mirror swashbuckler style story to see Sisko letting his hair down standing off against the Intendent on DS9. Ratings: Is There in Truth No Beauty?  - Eric & Bob - 8. Episode 62 And the Children Shall Lead / Distant Voices. Eric dislikes the poor plot and annoying kids on TOS and Bob appreciates the sentiment but is left ho hum by the all-in-the-mind Bashir story on DS9. Ratings: And the Children Shall Lead - Eric 3.5, Bob 2.  Distant Voices - Bob 2, Eric 6.6.

Bob appreciates the big Odo confession with the perilous situation with 'Kira' on DS9.  Ratings: Assignment: Earth - Bob 4, Eric 8.5.  Heart of Stone - Bob 8, Eric 8.5.

Eric enjoys the Roman parallel planet story especially the guest villain and the McCoy/Spock argument in the prison cell on TOS and Bob is let down by Jake's subplot but appreciates the greater themes in the death of a supporting character. on DS9. Ratings: Bread and Circuses - Eric 7.75, Bob 7. Life Support - Bob 7.5, Eric 8.

Question of the week: What character death in any series affected you the most and to what extant did you go to express your outrage?

Episode 56 The Ultimate Computer / Fascination. Eric feels the man vs machine is a bit safe but well done on TOS and Bob takes a while to warm to the Midsummer Night's Dream amorous comedy on DS9. Ratings: The Ultimate Computer - Eric 8, Bob 9. Fascination - Bob 6, Eric 6.5.

Episode 55 The Omega Glory / Defiant. Eric doe snot enjoy the hot mess of a plot (despite good intentions) on TOS and Bob loves the Riker fake-out story on DS9. Ratings: The Omega Glory - Eric 6, Bob 5.5. Defiant - Bob 8, Eric 7.75.

Episode 51 A Private Little War / Second Skin. Eric appreciates Dr. McCoy's speeches all the more in this Vietnam inspired TOS and Bob is all about the identity crisis and spy influenced plot on DS9. Ratings: A Private Little War - Eric 8.5, Bob 7. Second Skin - Bob 9, Eric 7.75.

If you woke up wearing another person's face would it make you crack eventually and lose you sense of identity?  Moreso If this new life was better off than your own would you pretend to go along with it to take advantage and sell yourself out so to speak?

Episode 50 The Immunity Syndrome / Equilibrium. Eric appreciates the moments and giant space amoeba high stakes on TOS and Bob is kind of board by the big Dax personality revelation on DS9. Ratings: The Immunity Syndrome - Eric 9.5, Bob 7. Equilibrium - Bob 5, Eric 6.
